Guest Verification & Rental Agreement
To comply with local regulations and help ensure a safe experience for all guests, a signed rental agreement and ID verification are required after booking. We make this easy through Happy Guest, a secure, app-free guest portal.
Your guest portal also provides property information, check-in details, local recommendations, and optional stay enhancements, including:
• Early Check-In (hourly) — $50
• Late Check-Out (hourly) — $50
Please note that arrival instructions cannot be released until these requirements have been completed. Reservations remain subject to the cancellation policy if the required verification steps are not completed.

Guests will have access to the entire home including the exclusive use of the apartment. Guest will not have access to locked Owner's closets.
Please Note: Everwood House & Nook is the entire home on the property which includes a separate, private apartment (Everwood Nook) that is attached to the home and has a private entrance.
There is no interior access between the two spaces. Everwood Nook has its own private entrance. Guests of Everwood House & Nook have exclusive use of the entire property, pool, two hot tubs, sauna, two fire pits, and fenced backyard.
✅ We take your safety and security seriously and this property has special local compliance requirements of a signed rental agreement and ID verification. To make this easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.
Your guest portal includes advertisements with third-party upgrades that you may want to enhance your stay. These upgrades are optional and include:

🐻 Wildlife Notice
Everwood House is located in a beautiful natural setting along a creek, and wildlife sightings are common. Guests may occasionally see black bears, deer, wild turkeys, and other native wildlife during their stay.
Black bears are a normal part of life in Western North Carolina and are generally not aggressive when given space. For everyone’s safety, please do not approach, feed, or attempt to interact with wildlife.
To help keep bears wild and prevent unwanted visits:
• Keep all food and drinks indoors when not in use.
• Do not leave trash, coolers, pet food, or bird seed outside.
• Secure all garbage in the designated containers.
• Never intentionally feed wildlife.
Seeing a bear can be a memorable part of your mountain getaway—please enjoy wildlife from a safe distance and allow them to continue on their way.

If you have declined Airbnb's travel insurance it is highly suggested you buy your own through a third-party. We have a strict cancellation policy and cannot refund due to unexpected travel delays or changes, emergencies, weather, illness or other travel related situations.

We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this property. The home has been newly renovated and is in excellent condition, with many appliances appearing to be brand new. The pool, hot tub, and barrel sauna were fantastic. We also loved the beautifully lit backyard, fire pit, and outdoor dining area. Having both the main house and the separate unit made it perfect for our group. Mary was very responsive with communication and always quick to answer questions. After an unexpected rainstorm, someone arrived the very next morning to drain excess water from the pool, clean it, and check the water quality of both the pool and hot tub. We never even requested this service, but it was taken care of. The home was incredibly well stocked. We especially appreciated having four coffee options: drip, Keurig, Nespresso, and French press. We only needed to bring the food we planned to cook. We’d gladly stay here again or any property from Mary.

Loved the house and it had lots of room and space for our annual family reunion!! It was in a great location close to a grocery store and not far from downtown Asheville. Mary was amazing to work with and always responded to my messages I sent quickly which I appreciated!! Our trip was amazing and a big part of it was the memories we made in her house!! Definitely recommend!!
